Join us in North Kent for a peaceful day of creativity — and leave with a piece of silver jewellery handmade by you.
The Structure of the day
Nestled in the heart of North Kent, Wild Meadow Studio offers calm, creative jewellery-making experiences where you can slow down, connect, and make something truly special. Each workshop welcomes up to four guests for an inspiring day of silversmithing and mindful making.
Our day workshops run from 11am to 4pm, with a relaxed lunch and reflection break in the middle of the day — a chance to pause, chat, and enjoy the process.
What You’ll Create
You can choose to make a ring, pair of earrings, pendant, or chain.
Designs are discussed and agreed in advance so that your day can flow smoothly and creatively.
All tools and standard materials are included, and extra silver or stones can be ordered prior to your session. If you’d like to add something special, we’ll send an invoice for additional materials ahead of the workshop.
Your finished jewellery will be ready to take home on the day, or — if you’d like it officially stamped — it can be sent for hallmarking for a small additional fee.

The Experience
My Husband and I did a workshop with Polly . It was absolutely brilliant. Polly explained everything really clearly and went through the process step by step. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience and wear our creations with pride. I highly recommend Polly's silver smithing workshops at Wild Meadow Studio.
I had a fun and informative workshop day with Polly. We had discussed what I wanted to make before the session and she had sourced the stone and thought about the techniques I should use to achieve the result I wanted. I felt confident using the gas torch under her supervision. The resulting pendant has been much admired by everyone and I wear it almost every day. A very enjoyable experience with a beautiful outcome.
Polly’s workshop gets five stars from me. I went as a complete beginner and came away having completed pieces which are now some of my favourite jewellery. She talked us through the process at just the right pace and was at hand to help me any time I got stuck. It was a lovely experience, we laughed a lot, and I recommend it to anyone.
FAQs
Do I need any jewellery-making experience?
Not at all — complete beginners are warmly welcome! Every step is guided at your pace, from sawing and shaping to soldering and finishing.
You’ll leave with a beautiful piece of silver jewellery made entirely by hand.
Can I come alone or bring friends?
Both are welcome! Each booking is for one participant, so if you’re coming with friends, simply make separate bookings for each person in your group.
Workshops are open to adults aged 18 and over, and are designed to be relaxed, social, and supportive — a calm, creative space where everyone feels at ease.
If you’d like to attend as a private group (up to four guests), you can arrange a private workshop day — just mention this when booking or contact us for available dates.
What can I make during the workshop?
You can choose to make a ring, pendant, earrings, or chain. We’ll discuss your design choice in advance to ensure the right materials are prepared for your day.
If you’d like to work on something bespoke (e.g. using gemstones or extra silver), we’ll invoice for additional materials before your event.
What time do workshops start and finish?
Day workshops run from 11am to 4pm, with a calm break for lunch and reflection midway through.
You’ll have plenty of time to create without rushing the process.
What happens to my finished piece?
Your jewellery will be ready to take home on the day.
If you’d like it hallmarked, we can send it off for official stamping at a small additional fee — we’ll let you know expected turnaround times before you leave.
What should I wear or bring with me?
Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for light studio work, and ensure long hair is tied up for safety. Aprons and all tools are provided.
If you wear reading glasses, it’s helpful to bring them for close-up detail work.
You’ll also need to bring your own packed lunch for our midday break.
Please note, Wild Meadow Studio is a strictly no-nut premises, so avoid bringing any food containing nuts. Refreshments such as tea, coffee, and water are provided.
Is the workshop suitable for children or teens?
Our adult silversmithing workshops are for ages 18+ due to the use of tools and torches.
For younger creatives, we offer “Non-Flame” Jewellery Parties (ages 10+) that use beading and wirework — you can find details on our Group Experiences page.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel my booking?
We understand plans can change! With 7 days’ notice, you can transfer your booking to another available date or participant.
Cancellations with less notice may incur a fee, as materials and preparation are arranged in advance.
